Bright Angel Trail is one of the most well-maintained trails in the Grand Canyon. It's very popular with guests and tourists because it is right next to all the lodges on the South Rim and it's very easily accessible. It's a great way to experience the Grand Canyon if you are short on time. All you need is about 8 hours to hike down and back up. If times allow, you can also hike all the way down to visit Indian Garden, a beautiful oasis of plants and greens!

This trail has plenty of water and bathroom stops along the way. To truly enjoy the trip, we require that our guests stay at the lodge on the South Rim the night before. That will allow you to be well-rested and ready to enjoy the hike the next day nice and early! We usually start heading down the trail around 8 am. With a return time around 4 pm/5 pm.

Most guess just head back home afterward while others stay the extra night at the lodges.

If you have a family, this is one great way for everyone to enjoy and experience the Grand Canyon
