Tux only being 1 year old got the chance to visit the Grand Canyon for the second time this year! LOL 😂❤️🐶
What about you? Is the Grand Canyon part of your bucket list? Instead of just visiting, have you thought about hiking it? It’s easier than you think if you are well prepared for it. And the experience is out of this world!

In Your Best Adventure
I know this has been a crazy, out of this world year. We are very thankful to still be healthy and able to go out and enjoy what’s remaining of the year. I usually visit the canyon about 3-4 times a year to bring down clients for our backpacking and Rim2Rim trips.
Unfortunately, COVID has put a hold to all trips this year. But I can’t finish the year without at least visiting. Just got here today and will spend the Holidays at the Bright Angel Lodge.
Here’s to a new year in 2021!
FYI: We already have 3 hikes scheduled for 2021 😃👍🏼

In Grand Canyon Trips
I just completed another 3 Day Grand Canyon Backpacking trip this past weekend with two pretty fun guys @mikeaangelo and @Randy Kaleikilo! The weather was amazing and that allowed us to have a fast pace that got us down and up the canyon faster than ever before.
But this trip was special since this hike was my 10th time heading down the canyon! And every single time, it gets better and better!
November was the perfect time to head to the canyon for many reasons but my two favorites are because the weather is usually amazing! It was 77 degrees at Phantom Ranch and about 40 degree at night. That was a bit chilly but I would take that any day!
My second reason is because the canyon it’s less crowded! We were able to enjoy the peace and quiet that comes with having no one around during the hike. And when we work up Sunday morning to hike out of the canyon via Bright Angel Trail, there’s was no sign of any other human around! We were the only people on planet earth at that giving time hiking out of the canyon! It was surreal and an amazing feeling!
Interested in having your own amazing experience at the canyon? We have two hikes scheduled already for 2020. Our 3 Day Winter Backpacking January 17th and our 4 Day Backpacking in April.
Contact me if you have any questions.

In Rim to Rim Experience
Finally... I was able to break my old record of 12 hours and 33 min. to completing my 7th Rim2Rim under 10 hours! I usually treat my Rim2Rim's like a training ground. It helps me keep my legs and endurance in check. It also allows me to learn more about the Grand Canyon and to experiment with different snacks, meals, and equipment. I always want to improve my knowledge of the canyon. This place is very dynamic and being able to be ready with whatever the canyon throws at you, I find it to be a very important skill set to have. When I take my clients down the canyon, I want them to feel as comfortable and safe as possible. I want them to truly enjoy the experience and that's why I started the 20/20 Grand Canyon Experience company! I have over 10 years of experience going down and up the canyon. I have safely taken over 60 people into the canyon for either a multiday backpacking trip or rim2rim. I've also been a certified personal trainer for 25 years. That allows me to create programs that my clients can follow that gets them ready to experience all the physical demand that the canyon brings. I've completed multiple Wilderness Workshop and I'm Wilderness Safety certified. I'm in love with the Grand Canyon and I will never stop learning about it and how to conquer it! Thank you for reading and if you are interested in joining one of our hikes, visit our site at www.YourGrandCanyonExperience.com

It's only when you truly get out of your comfort zone that you start living life to the fullest. You will be surprised on what the human body can accomplish if you can get the "mind" to get it started!
There's a lot of beautiful places in the world and the Grand Canyon happen to be one of them! Yes, many have visited but only a few have descended 7 miles to the bottom.
The experience is out of this world but it does take preparation, training, and guidance to do it right. And that's why I created The 20/20 Grand Canyon Experience.
I have over 10 years of experience preparing, training, and guiding people down and up the canyon safety. @
We take everyone through "3 Phases"
Phase 1: Preparation: It's all about knowledge! And that's what we do. We have 2 group meetings where I present the team with all the do's and don'ts, education on snacks and meals, training for emergency, clothing, etc...
Phase 2: Training: As a group (if you are located in AZ) we do 3 simulation hikes to train the group on pace, equipment, and snacks. Everyone also gets a fitness program to follow to prepare the body for the physical demand that the Grand Canyon brings. If you are out of state, we send you all the work that needs to be accomplished.
Phase 3: Guidance: There's nothing more reassuring than having the trainer that's been helping you the last 3 month bring you down the canyon. The trust and relationship has been established and every works as a team.

In Rim to Rim Experience
Me and the Grand Canyon have a long history of love and hate lol. I take the canyon very seriously because I understand the full power of Mother Nature! We as human see a gigantic hole on the ground, and the first thing we want to do is challenge it! Why not?
No matter how much I train and prepare for a Rim2Rim, it seems like every time, specially the last 2 miles going up the North Rim, it becomes a very mind & body challenge!
That’s what I love about the GC. It always finds a way to get the best out of you. Weather it’s mental or physical. But this year, I was determined to make this the easier Rim2Rim ever! So I jumping into a fitness program that would put me in the best shape of my life. I started in February and as of this post, I’ve lost 26lbs and dropped 12% body fat.
Fitness is life! If you can take control of the way you look and feel, you have no idea of what you are physically capable
But I know that it’s not easy. That’s why I make it super easy with my Online Fitness Coaching Program! No excuses, no drama, just action and doing!
I make it super affordable because I want to help! I want to help anyone that wants run, hike, feel better, enjoy more activity with their family, just be pain free!!
It’s all online! I give you all the answers and you just follow it! Period! As straight forward as you can ever get.
For only $45 a month you will get a workout program designed based on your fitness level and goal. You will download my mobile app on your phone and all workouts and communications will be there! I will hold you accountable and will be available to answer any questions you may have!
Get into shape and then come back here to hike the Grand Canyon! How about that? :)
Only $45 a month! Are you serious? Yep! No excuses now!

I’ve very proud and honored to be bringing down my 6th group next weekend for another Rim2Rim, South to North Rim!
I’ve been working with this group for a long time. They were actually part of my 3 Day Grand Canyon Backpacking last year! They had such a great experience that they decided to take it to the next level!
And here we are! Their first Rim2Rim!
It’s what I love about this job! The Grand Canyon has a way of challenging your strength and will power! While at the same time, show is how beautiful it is!

For my final series of videos of What's in my backpack? I cover the most important subject of fuel! Snacks! My snack change depending on the type of weather I'm going to be experiencing while doing my Rim2Rim but overall the main theme stays the same!

In Grand Canyon Trips
What a great trip this was for Frarrukh and Saira! A private couples backpacking trip down the Grand Canyon. We camped at Phantom Ranch the first night, then moved on to Indian Garden the next day. For most of the trip the canyon was empty so they really got to spend some quiet, alone time together! It was an honor to have been given the opportunity to create this experience for them!
